The UK Foreign Office has updated its guidance for people travelling to Turkey.
Previously, the government department advised travellers to ensure they had six months' validity on their passports, or risk being turned away from departure in the UK - or entry on arrival in Turkey.
However, as of Tuesday (October 11), the government has said people must now make sure they have 150 days, or five months, on their passports.

Travellers should also have a full blank page in their passports, for the entry and exit stamps.
UK citizens travelling to Turkey for tourist or business purposes are able to travel without a visa for visits of up to 90 days in any 180-day period. Anyone wishing to stay longer should apply for a longer stay visa before travelling. Alternatively, you can request a residence permit from the local authorities in Turkey before your 90 day stay has elapsed.
All covid entry requirements for Turkey were dropped on June 1 of this year. This means you can enter Turkey regardless of vaccination status, without having to show proof of a negative covid test.
Foreign Office advice states: "Face masks are no longer required outdoors or indoors if air circulation and social distancing are adequate." Face masks are only mandatory in clinical settings such as hospitals.
