Tubi acquires rights to British comedy thriller Dead Hot series

Tubi secures U.S. and Canada rights for British comedy thriller Dead Hot.

Tubi, the ad-supported streaming service owned by Fox, has recently acquired the rights to the highly anticipated British comedy thriller series, Dead Hot. Set in Liverpool, the show revolves around the lives of two close friends, Elliot and Jess, who are bound by the shared tragedy of losing Peter, Elliot's twin brother, under mysterious circumstances five years ago.

Still grappling with the trauma, Elliot and Jess find solace in a hedonistic lifestyle, using partying as a means to numb their grief. However, they hold onto a glimmer of hope that one day they may uncover the truth about Peter's disappearance.

Leading the stellar cast are Bilal Hasna, who portrays Elliot, and Vivian Oparah, who takes on the role of Jess. Joining them are renowned actors Penelope Wilton and Peter Serafinowicz, adding their talent and depth to the series.

Charlotte Coben, daughter of acclaimed author Harlan Coben, serves as the creator, writer, and executive producer of Dead Hot. Coben is no stranger to success, having previously worked on popular Netflix adaptations such as The Stranger, Stay Close, Shelter, and Fool Me Once.

Partnering with Coben as an executive producer is Nicola Shindler, known for her work on hit shows like It's a Sin, Nolly, Happy Valley, Stay Close, and Fool Me Once. Laurie Kirkham, who has been involved in projects like It's a Sin, Finding Alice, and Trust Me, takes on the role of producer, while Sam Arbor (Heartstopper) directs 'Block One' and David Sant (Significant Other, Rosie Molloy Gives Up Everything) helms 'Block Two.'

Dead Hot is a production of Quay Street Productions, and the agreement between Tubi and ITV Studios facilitated the show's availability on the Tubi platform in the United States and Canada. Additionally, in the United Kingdom, viewers can catch the series on Amazon Prime Video starting from March 1.

This darkly humorous and thrilling series promises to captivate audiences with its compelling storyline, talented cast, and the creative prowess of its production team. Fans of British comedy and mystery will undoubtedly find themselves engrossed in the world of Dead Hot, eagerly awaiting revelations surrounding Peter's disappearance.

Prepare yourself for an adrenaline-fueled journey as Tubi brings you Dead Hot, where friendship, grief, and the quest for answers intertwine in a web of secrets and intrigue. Don't miss out on this exciting new addition to the world of television.
