Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) will operate over a 100 buses to Yadagirigutta Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple, anticipating an increased devotee rush after the inauguration of the renovated temple earlier this week.
TSRTC MD V.C. Sajjanar along with chairman Bajireddy Govardhan and local legislator Bethi Subhash Reddy flagged off a mini bus called ‘Yadadri Darshini’ from Uppal on Wednesday.
The interiors of these special buses are suitably painted with images of the temple deities. Speaking to the media, Mr. Sajjanar said that these buses will ensure safe and convenient travel for devotees. They will drop them off at the last point, the top of the hillock near the entrance to the main temple.
Service routes
The service routes are not only between Hyderabad and Yadagirigutta. All districts will get access to the temple. In Hyderabad, the buses will start from the Jubilee Bus Station and go via Uppal.
“TSRTC is also considering integration of bus services connecting temples at Basara, Vemulawada, Kaleshwaram and Bhadrachalam centres to Yadagirigutta, like a circuit,” he said.
In addition to convenience regarding boarding and alighting points, the bus fare is also fixed at a reasonable rate of ₹100 from JBS and ₹75 from Uppal.
Mr. Govardhan expressed confidence that TSRTC services to Yadagirgutta, being run on similar lines of the Tirumala Tirupati transport service, would be well received by devotees from the State.
