Bringing manufacturing and businesses back to the United States has often been the stated desire of US President Donald Trump's administration as it now wages an ongoing trade war with the rest of the world.

His administration has been predicting its barrage of tariffs against China would push American tech giant Apple into manufacturing the iPhone in the US for the first time.
