- President Donald Trump has lashed out at Nato allies again, calling them “cowards” and criticising them for inaction on helping to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
- “Without the U.S.A., NATO IS A PAPER TIGER!” Trump raged on Truth Social Friday. “They didn’t want to join the fight to stop a Nuclear Powered Iran.”
- He continued, “Now that fight is Militarily WON, with very little danger for them, they complain about the high oil prices they are forced to pay, but don’t want to help open the Strait of Hormuz, a simple military maneuver that is the single reason for the high oil prices. So easy for them to do, with so little risk. COWARDS, and we will REMEMBER!”
- Nato allies, including Germany and the UK, have refused to get involved in the conflict launched by the United States and Israel, specifically Trump’s requests for help in securing the Strait of Hormuz.
- Trump has been infuriated by the refusals and has pressured allies, including Japan during a White House visit Thursday, to help the US defeat Iran.
