Trump explains why critics forced ‘tariff’ down his list of favorite words

President Donald Trump announced that defense contractor Anduril will build a $3.7 billion autonomous submarine shipyard in Sparrows Point, Maryland.
The new 2-million-square-foot facility is expected to create approximately 3,100 jobs near the former site of the Francis Scott Key Bridge.
Maryland Governor Wes Moore and local Baltimore Democratic officials were excluded from speaking at the announcement event.
Trump used the speech before Navy midshipmen to defend his executive tariff policies, economic agenda, and foreign policy decisions.
The announcement comes as Republicans face poor polling and high consumer prices weeks ahead of crucial midterm elections.
