Troy Parrott is reportedly set to join Preston North End on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.
It is understood the Lilywhites will beat Championship competition for the Republic of Ireland international, should they get a move for the young forward over the line, reports LancsLive.
It would be the fourth loan of Parrott's career and his second in the second tier, after previous spells with Millwall, Ipswich and most recently MK Dons - for whom he scored 10 goals in League One last campaign.

The 20-year-old returned to Spurs this summer for pre-season, but missed the weekend's clash against Rangers. A deal for Parrott to move to Deepdale is expected to go through and he would boost Ryan Lowe's front line of Emil Riis, Ched Evans, Sean Maguire and youngster Miley O'Neill.
Parrott has been linked with the likes of Sunderland, QPR, Swansea and Middlesbrough, but North End look to have won the race for the Tottenham front man. He would become the fifth signing at PNE this summer, after the arrivals of Freddie Woodman, Dai Cornell, Robbie Brady and Ben Woodburn.
