Families across the UK are heading for the coasts this summer and many will top off their day with a tasty fish and chip supper. But which region boasts the best chippies?
Research from Parkdean Resorts compared factors such as cost, portion size and TripAdvisor reviews. And coming out on top for fish and chips was the North East of England.
The area has the lowest average prices for cod at around £5.57 and second lowest for haddock at £5.80. It also has some of the best-rated chippies, with Fisherman's Bay in Whitley Bay hailed one of the best, with 86% of ‘excellent’ reviews.
