Tributes have been paid to a "one of a kind" teenager who was killed when his motorbike ploughed into a wall outside a pub.

Kyle Jowett, 19, died at the scene of the crash in Chapel Street, Leigh, in the early hours of Saturday morning (March 19). Leading the tributes to the teenager, his mother Joanne described him as having the "biggest heart".

She revealed that Kyle, who lived in Leigh, was "excited" to start training to become a chef at the pub where he worked at the time of his death.

Ms Jowett said: "Kyle was a very much kept things to himself lad but would do anything for anybody. He had the biggest heart. He loved to sing and dance about. He was the best uncle to his nephew Jacob.

"He has three older brothers and an older sister that loved him very much. Kyle was very popular at work and much-loved by everyone.

"He worked in a kitchen at a pub. He had just been promoted last week to train to become a chef. He was so excited."

Meanwhile, Kyle's friend Beth Spencer described him as her "little brother". "I’ve grown up with him all my life and he was the most kind hearted person I’ve ever met," she added.

"We also worked together at Applewood Farm and he was so loved by everybody there and such a character who loved dancing to Taylor Swift in the kitchen. He was definitely one of a kind and will be missed so much. He was my family and I’ll love him forever."

Danielle Brooker added: "He was a really good friend. Very quiet and shy at first but built his confidence and had a laugh u would recognise a mile away.

"He had a huge heart and not only was he my work colleague he was a good friend to have and would do anything for anyone. He meant a lot. He was my little buddy."
