Trevor Lawrence Has Perfect Six-Word Response to NFL Network’s Controversial QB Ranking

Trevor Lawrence isn’t usually the most active quarterback on social media, but he saw something Thursday morning that he couldn’t hold his tongue about.

NFL Network held a segment in which analyst Kyle Brandy ranked AFC quarterbacks from tiers one through six with one being the highest. Lawrence, who was named to the Pro Bowl and led his team to a playoff win this past season, was in the No. 6 category. He did not appear to agree.

“The game ain’t played on paper,” he said on Twitter.

He was placed on the same level with Kenny Pickett, Mac Jones and Tua Tagovailoa.

“Lawrence was the most popular response on Twitter,” Brandt said. “‘How could you have Trevor Lawrence there?’ I love him . . . wins a playoff game despite playing terribly in the first half, then makes the comeback, so it’s complicated.”

Brandt was referring to Lawrence throwing four interceptions in the first half of the wild-card game against the Chargers and going into halftime down 27 points. He would rebound in the second half and lead his team to the biggest comeback in playoff history. He played opposite of Justin Herbert, who was placed in the No. 3 tier by Brandt.
