Transfer news LIVE! Liverpool 'sign' £130m Isak; Hincapie to Arsenal; Man Utd want Martinez; Chelsea latest

Transfer news LIVE!

The drama is building as we enter the final day of the summer transfer window. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are all pushing to complete major moves before Monday night’s 7pm deadline, with plenty more twists and turns expected between now and then. Alexander Isak remains the biggest saga of them all of course as Liverpool have agreed a £130million deal for the Newcastle striker and hope to wrap up a £35m deal for Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi.

Piero Hincapie should finalise his switch to Arsenal on Sunday though is apparently still waiting for permission to undergo a medical, while Manchester United have now made a move for Emiliano Martinez and remain in talks with Senne Lammens as they bid to secure a new goalkeeper. As ever there is plenty going on at Chelsea, who have submitted an offer for Barcelona’s Fermin Lopez and left Nicolas Jackson furious by cancelling his loan move to Bayern Munich as they now consider adding another striker such as Conrad Harder. Facundo Buonanotte will also undergo a medical ahead of his shock switch to Stamford Bridge.

Aston Villa are pushing to sign West Ham star Lucas Paqueta, while Manchester City hope to offload Ederson and acquire Gianluigi Donnarumma as Tottenham aim to win the race for Manuel Akanji. Follow the latest transfer news, rumours and gossip live below!

Crystal Palace turn to Disasi

05:45 , Alex Young

Crystal Palace have turned to Axel Disasi as a possible replacement for Liverpool-bound Marc Guehi.

The Reds are expected to finalise a £35million deal for the defender today once Palace have a replacement lined up for their skipper.

That search as, according to Sky Sports, led the Eagles to Chelsea outcast Disasi, who spent a rather underwhelming few months on loan at Aston Villa last season.

Disasi had also been in talks with Bournemouth, before the Cherries ended their interest.

One player who will definitely not be on the move today is Lucas Paqueta, and he has made that abundantly clear.

Amid links with Aston Villa, Paqueta started and scored as West Ham won 3-0 at Nottingham Forest. The midfielder for his goal celebration mimicked picking up a phone before throwing it away and then kissed the West Ham badge.

Manager Graham Potter after the game praised his commitment.

“You saw a committed performance from someone who cares about the team,” Potter said.

Asked whether he expects Paqueta to remain at the club, he said: “Yeah.”

04:30 , Alex Young

There is also the curious case of Kobbie Mainoo.

The Athletic reported last week that Mainoo told Manchester United he wishes to leave on loan in search of more regular first-team minutes, having fallen down the pecking order under Ruben Amorim.

Fabrizio Romano now reports that Man Utd are adamant that Mainoo will not leave the club before the transfer window closes.

That may not be the end of the story, though, as the midfielder is still attracting interest.

Man Utd and Aston Villa in Martinez and Lammens talks

04:00 , Alex Young

There is a goalkeeper tug-of-war, or merry-go-round, or something between the two, brewing between Manchester United and Aston Villa.

United have reportedly been in talks with Royal Antwerp to sign Senne Lammens for a number of days, but progress has stalled. That has led them to reignite interest in Villa's Emi Martinez.

That has also seen Villa open talks with Antwerp for Lammens, and have an interest in Diogo Costa, who they will sign if Martinez leaves.

Martinez is said to have agreed personal terms with United and was left out of the club’s 3-0 home loss to Crystal Palace today.

Ademola Lookman, who has been pushing to leave Atalanta all summer, has also been linked as a new forward addition, but he is also attracting interest from Bayern.

Chelsea medical completed as striker loans cancelled

02:00 , Alex Young

Chelsea have told Nicolas Jackson to return to the club with his Bayern Munich loan deal officially cancelled.

The Blues have also reportedly agreed a deal with Sunderland which will see Marc Guiu’s loan deal with the Black Cats ended.

This is all following Liam Delap’s injury, which is said to sideline the player for a number of weeks.

Amid all of this, Chelsea have been linked with interest in Sporting striker Conrad Harder, though that deal appears unlikely as the clock ticks down towards tonight’s deadline.

Amid all of this, Facundo Buonanotte is said to have undergone a medical ahead of joining on loan for the season.

Plenty for Chelsea to resolve on Deadline Day.

Guehi bids likely farewell with Crystal Palace stunner

21:35 , Alex Young

Marc Guehi scored a stunner on what could be his Crystal Palace farewell as the Eagles thrashed goal-shy Aston Villa 3-0 tonight.

Guehi has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool before Monday's transfer deadline but he put aside that speculation with the stand-out moment of a superb Palace display at Villa Park.

Guehi brought the ball forward and was still on the edge of the box when a poor Ezri Konsa clearance rolled into his path. He quickly set himself and bent a fine shot beyond the reach of Bizot and into the top corner.

If it does prove his sign-off, it was some way to say goodbye.

By contrast, Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez was not involved amid rumoured interest from Manchester United and his replacement Marco Bizot had a night to forget.
