TOWIE star Junaid Ahmed has shared how he was left shaken following a vile homophobic attack in a London bar.
The reality TV star, 27, said a group of men in their 40s hurled discriminatory language towards him as he enjoyed a night out in the nation's capital city with co-star Dani Imbert, 25, on Friday night.
Junaid recalls being attacked due to his sexuality resulted in him feeling "mortified and embarrassed" and is still in a state of shock following the incident, which saw the star disgustingly branded "a gay c***" by one man.
The ITVBe star ha said that he doesn't think he will report the incident that reportedly took place at The May Fair Bar to the police but the attack won't stop him enjoying more nights out at the swanky London bar.
Junaid praised staff at the venue, which he frequents regularly, and credited the team for rushing to his assistance after being subjected to a vile verbal assault.
He explained how the men approached him and Dani at their table after recognising the duo thanks to their appearances on The Only Way is Essex, asking for pictures with the two stars.
But things took a dark turn when one of the men in the group shouted: "Nah, I don't want him on my table... I don't want him anywhere near me."
"He was shouting homophobic abuse at me and I was like, "Oh my gosh, this is actually crazy... in the middle of May Fair Bar, I'm mortified and embarrassed," Junaid recalls to the MailOnline.
"He's shouting all this abuse at me and then his mates are all getting involved just hurling the most homophobic abuse at me. I couldn't believe we were in a public setting and they were doing this. I've literally never felt like I wanted the ground to swallow me up more."
The influencer continued to explain how he asked the men to leave him alone and was then approached by staff at The May Fair Bar who wanted to check he was okay.
Following the harrowing incident, Junaid and Dani left the bar, with the star now reflecting and admitting: "I actually do not need to put myself in a situation like that, I don't need to be around it. I just can't believe it happened in this day and age. I just think it's awful. The world we live in is disgusting."
He added how he is shocked by the homophobic attack but he won't let it stop him living his life and enjoying more nights out.
Junaid tells the publication how he is "a party boy, I love going out and having fun" so he has no intentions of allowing the actions of bigots to impact his social life.
