Pete Wicks has revealed the piece of advice handed to him by his late nan on how to find your true love.
The TOWIE star, 33, opened up to Ella Rae Wise, 22, on a date during Sunday's episode of the hit reality television show. He treated the blonde beauty to a relaxing date to celebrate her birthday and discussed why he believed he was still single.
His confession led to him spilling some advice passed down to him by grandmother Doreen, who sadly passed away earlier in the year.
He said: "I'd rather stay single and enjoy myself until I find the person who is worth changing that for. My nan always used to say to me that the two things you should fall in love with are someone's eyes, because they never age, and someone's heart because it never changes. It's the truth."
Pete was close to his nan and announced he death in an emotional Instagram post in June. He uploaded a number of photos of the pair, including one which showed them smiling during happier times. A second pic showed Pete holding her hand as she lay in her hospital bed.
He admitted he felt "lost" following her death after calling her his "best friend".
Pete's latest comments came as he continued to claim he and Ella were just friends despite regularly flirting. They had a brief romance last year, but brought a stop to things due to the 11-year age gap.
Speaking to The Sun, Ella explained: "He is 11 years older than me. It is quite a bit," before stating Pete worries about outside opinions."
The duo continue to be linked and rumours were further fuelled in July when they were spotted sharing a kiss outside of a nightclub.
Ella has also been linked with Jordan Brooks after the co-stars enjoyed a date following the show's filming trip in the Dominican Republic. A potential relationship was seemingly a non-starter however when she failed to text him back.
Pete recently told OK! Magazine he wasn't in the market for an official relationship, insisting: "No dating for me at the moment, I'm focusing on myself."
Although this is the case, he is rumoured to be part of the new team of celebs set to take part in hit dating series Celebs Go Dating.
