Tottenham fans have been left confused by what some are taking as a transfer hint ahead of the summer. Ryan Mason's side face off against Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon looking for just a second win in eight games.
It comes after a mixed pair of results for new interim manager Ryan Mason following the dramatic 4-3 loss to Liverpool last week. This is the penultimate home game of the season, though, with any outside hopes of securing a top-four spot all-but-gone.
Spurs are nine points behind Manchester United in fourth having played a game more and can only record an extra 12 points, even in a perfect world. On top of that, Brighton have two games in hand and are already two places above them in the table.

It was the pre-match social media post ahead of hosting Roy Hodgson's rejuvinated Palace that got supporters talking online, though.
The club's matchday graphic involving Cristian Romero, Richarlison, Dejan Kulusevski and Fraser Forster. That alone is enough for fans to take an early guess at four names that could be on the teamsheet come 2pm but it was the inclusion of another person that had some stumped.
In what is a relatively uncommon call, Wilfried Zaha was also included in the graphic, just the second time in recent months that an opposition player has been included. The only other time that has happened was last week against Liverpool.
It was Mo Salah that was chosen on that occassion but Zaha's addition specifically got the attention of fans due to his links with the club ahead of the transfer window. The Ivorian winger is out of contract at Selhurst Park when this season ends and is expected to leave the club.
Alongside Arsenal and Chelsea, Spurs are reportedly keen on adding the 30-year-old to their squad for next season and fans have been quick to point out the supposed hint from the media team.
One user wrote: "Huh why's Zaha the only palace player?" whilst another questioned it, adding: "Why is Zaha there?" One fan cottoned on, replying: "He’ll probably be a summer signing considering his contract expires."
