Tottenham news: Yannick Carrasco transfer chance as Son Heung-min handed major injury worry

Here is your Tottenham Hotspur morning digest on Thursday, November 3.

Carrasco chance

Tottenham may have a second chance to sign Atletico Madrid star Yannick Carrasco. The winger has had long-standing interest from the Premier League, but Diego Simeone’s side has until now turned down any interest in him.

A 2-1 defeat to Porto on Tuesday saw Atletico finish fourth in their Champions League group and drop out of Europe completely. Spanish outlet AS, via The Express, claim that their disappointing campaign has ensured that the club have “got themselves into trouble” financially and Carrasco is someone they'd be willing to sell to help rebalance the books.

Son injury

Tottenham star Son Heung-min had to be taken off after clashing heads with Chancel Mbemba in the first half during the 2-1 win against Marseille.

The 30-year-old is now a doubt for the huge Premier League clash against Liverpool this weekend after he was substituted for Yves Bissouma in the 29th minute. Spurs are yet to find out the full extent of Son's injury, but it was clear to see that the forward was in discomfort as he exited the pitch.

Find out whether or not he's expected to be fit for Sunday here.

What Kane did in Spurs' dressing room after Marseille win

Understandably, Spurs players were elated with the last-minute winner against Marseille, something that was evident in the dressing room after. Kane in particular was seen having a good time as Tottenham's main man showed off his dancing skills to the entire team.

As seen on Emerson Royal's post-game Instagram story, Kane enjoyed a well-earned two-step after a hard-fought victory at the Stade Velodrome. Teammate Yves Bissouma later jumped in with some moves of his own, before Royal captured Lucas Moura's joyful scream.
