Your Tottenham morning digest on Wednesday, July 27.

Kane contract update

football.london reported back in May that Harry Kane was settled and enjoying life under Antonio Conte. It was said that, subject to Spurs showing ambition in the summer transfer window, he would be inclined to discuss a new contract with just two years left on his current deal.

Yaya Toure and Jermain Defoe agree coaching roles

Tuchel verdict on Kane amid Chelsea interest

"If you find any coach around the world who would not like to have Harry Kane in his team, call me again. I would like to speak with the guy and hear about his ideas of scoring and attacking," Tuchel was quoted saying at the end of the 2020/21 campaign.

"Everybody loves Harry Kane but let’s be very, very clear. He is a player for Tottenham. He has a long-term contract and we will not get involved in any press conference with any disrespectful comments about that."
