As summer 2024 inches ever closer, you could be forgiven for wondering who your team might be lining up to bring in. Will that Kylian Mbappe transfer to Real Madrid finally happen? Our guest expert Kate Richardson is on hand to assess all the movers and shakers this summer, so sit back and relax as we take you through all of the possible big movers this summer, including:
- Kylian Mbappe
- Marcus Rashford
- Mohamed Salah
- Alphonso Davies
- Victor Osimhen
Let’s get straight into it!
Kylian Mbappe
Fabrizio Romano’s transfer news posts regularly cite the fact that the Mbappe transfer to Real is already a done deal. Anyone who keeps an eye on Real Madrid transfer news will have known this for quite some time.
The French World Cup winner has been courted by Los Blancos for what seems like an eternity now, and despite reported interest from the Premier League, it appears as though this one is a matter of ‘when’ not ‘if’.
Having brought in Jude Bellingham last summer, the Madrid rebuild would surely be complete if they finally get their hands on the man who many see as the most natural successor to the Brazilian Ronaldo.
We can probably expect the PSG transfer kitty to be substantially boosted to the tune of around £250 million when this one finally goes down, possibly paving the way for our next big possible transfer…
Marcus Rashford
Fact: When Rashford burst onto the scene a few years ago, many saw him as the next great Manchester United number 9, but it hasn’t quite happened for whatever reason.
Some around the club have suggested that with a new era underway at Old Trafford after Jim Ratcliffe’s partial takeover, the new men in the United boardroom see Rashford as an easy way to raise some much-needed funds.
There is a feeling that the England man may have offered all he can for United and may benefit from a change of scenery. There have also been murmurings from people on PSG transfers social media pages that the Parisians have earmarked Rashford as the man to replace Mbappe. It is thought United would be willing to talk for around £80 million.

Mohammed Salah
Make no mistake, Mo Salah has been one of the best players in the world for the past 6 years and still is.
This, coupled with his Muslim background, has alerted the newly-minted Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia to the possibility of bringing the Egyptian in as the marquee signing of 2024.
According to some Manchester City transfer rumours, Salah was reportedly interesting Pep Guardiola, but we can pretty much categorically rule that one out.
Salah only has just over 12 months on his current deal and should he make the move to Saudi Arabia this summer, we can probably expect the men from Anfield to hold out for somewhere in the neighbourhood of £100 million. This would go some way to completing the rebuild initiated by departing boss, Jurgen Klopp, who oversaw wholesale midfield changes last summer.
Alphonso Davies
Another likely mover courtesy of Fabrizio Romano transfer news and rumours suggests that Canadian Alphonso Davies will swap the Allianz Arena for the Bernabeu this summer.
The left-back has been on Real’s radar for a couple of seasons now and with his contract up next summer, it seems like Bayern may be forced into cashing in at the end of this season.
However, Romano has also suggested that there is a new potential club vying for the services of Davies, Real’s arch-rivals, Barcelona. He said: “The agent of the player was in Barcelona but at the moment, I’m not aware of concrete negotiations with Barca. They have Balde in that position and Alphonso wants an important salary, either from Bayern with new deal or Real Madrid or any other club. So, for Barca it’s really complicated to offer that.”
We shall see how that one progresses.
Victor Osimhen
The Nigerian striker’s time at Napoli is almost certainly over following a couple of high-profile bust-ups with the club’s hierarchy.
Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle will all be in the market for a striker this summer, but where the current Series A Golden Boot winner ends up is anyone’s guess at this moment.
Fact: The English trio may end up disappointed, with Fabrizio Romano’s trust transfer news claiming late last year that Osimhen could be set to sign a new deal in Naples.
