Tom Izzo talks ‘excitement’ to tip off regular season, previews Monmouth game

Michigan State basketball head coach Tom Izzo is ready to tip off the 2024-25 season next week.

Izzo met with the local media on Friday, and shared his “excitement” to get the regular season underway. Izzo said he likes his team and what he saw through the first few exhibition games.

Michigan State basketball officially opens the regular season on Monday in a home non-conference matchup against Monmouth. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on Big Ten Plus.
