In an effort to build trust and confidence among various stakeholders, including members of the public, the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) has proposed to hold open house at all its district and zonal offices and head office at Guindy from 11 a.m. on Saturday.
An official release here said that these sessions will be held on the 5 th of every month and the first session will be held this Saturday. Any individual or industrial unit, NGO, or representatives of public welfare associations can participate and meet the officials concerned to express their grievance, get clarifications and to make complaint on pollution- related issues, consents and to make suggestions / views in respect of environment protection.
Though anyone can walk-in, prior registration too was being encouraged. Those wanting to attend the session can register on the www.tnpcb.gov.in website. Participants have been requested to carry their Aadhaar Card during their visit without fail, the release said.
