MUMBAI: Serving a reminder to the Mumbai selectors when they pick the squad for the Ranji Trophy knockouts, left-arm spinner Dhrumil Matkar took 5-50 in nine overs, including a hat-trick, to help Mumbai Customs skittle out hosts Air India for just 137 in 31. 3 overs on Day One of their Times Shield Fifth Round match, at the Indian Airlines Ground in Kalina on Tuesday.
Matkar took his hat-trick in his fourth over, dismissing Karan Surayya (lbw), Ashay Dube (caught behind) and Atharva Kardile (bowled). "I had bowled well in the previous three matches too, but didn't get many wickets. Today, it all came together for me. I'm happy that I bagged a hat-trick. I want to play for Mumbai again," Matkar, who had scored a hundred earlier against DY Patil B, told TOI.
