Cormac Roth, the son of Tim Roth, has died aged 25, his heartbroken family have confirmed.
The music producer and composer passed away on October 16 but his family announced his death on Monday, October 31.
Cormac had previously been diagnosed with Stage 3 germ cell cancer in November 2021, just one year before his death.
His family said: "On Sunday the 16th of October, we lost our beautiful boy Cormac after a courageous battle with cancer.
"He died peacefully in the arms of his family who loved and adored him.
"He fought with incredible bravery for the past year, and maintained his wicked wit and humour to the very end."
The statement continued: "He was a wild and electric ball of energy and his spirit was filled with light and goodness, as wild as he was, Cormac was also the embodiment of kindness.
"A gentle soul who brought so much happiness and hope to those around him.
"The grief comes in waves, as do the tears and laughter when we think of that beautiful boy across the 25 years and 10 months that we knew him.
"An irrepressible and joyful and wild and wonderful child. Only recently a man. We love him. We will carry him with us wherever we go."
In his last social media post, shared in August of this year, Cormac shared his gratitude for his followers after their well wishes following his diagnosis.
He said: "You don't always get to choose your destiny. You don't always get to choose your future."
Friends and fans took to social media to pay tribute, with one writing: "Rest In Peace Cormac Roth. Such a nice dude--crazily talented guitar player and human. Fond memories of listening to the kids jam in my basement. He was already better than me at 12(once he came over excited to share a new White Stripes album-- he learned it in a couple days)."
While another commented: "Devastating news about Cormac Roth, just 25 years old and taken by Stem Cell Cancer. Tim Roth is one of my all time fave actors and this is just heartbreaking for the family and friends of Cormac. Cancer is indiscriminate over age, status, everything."
A third tweeted: "Oh no. So sad. RIP Cormac Roth. You were too young to go."
In April, Cormac took to his Instagram page in view of his 2,400 followers, confirming he had been diagnosed with cancer and had lost hearing in one of his ears.
In an emotional post alongside a video of him playing the guitar, he penned: "In November of 21 I was diagnosed with stage 3 germ cell cancer. Since then I've been fighting it daily, throwing everything I can at it.
"Chemo, high dose chemo, medication, transplants, transfusions, surgeries etc. It is called Choriocarcinoma, it is rare, and it has managed to stay many steps ahead of me no matter what I throw at it. It has taken away half of my hearing, 60pounds of weight, my confidence, and will continue its murderous path until I can manage to stop it some how, and kill it."
Ending his post, he said: "Love to you all please make sure to do the things that you love. Life is short. It is chaos. And you never know when it's going to be you."
