Nearly half of Brits enjoy shopping for brand new clothing – but the post-shopping high fades after just four wears of a new garment, a study has found.
A poll of 2,000 adults found that Brits will purchase new clothes five times a month on average, typically spending £70 a month on updating their wardrobe – although a fifth will spend £100 or more.
And 47% say they enjoy buying new clothing items – but the post-shopping glow quickly turns to guilt for 56% of shoppers.
