Three arrested after police chase through residential area

A police chase through residential streets in Rochdale led to three people being arrested after Class A drugs were found by pursuing officers. The pair in the car sped off after officers attempted to stop them for suspected false registration plates.

The duo failed to stop several times during the pursuit and evaded patrols by ‘driving dangerously’ through residential areas. After finding the vehicle abandoned a short while later in Shawclough, Greater Manchester Police found another car with one driver which was seen picking up the runners.

All three males were arrested for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, failing to stop, dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified and handling stolen goods.
