Thousands of Elton John fans have arrived at Anfield for the music icon’s huge Liverpool gig.
The singer is currently on a mammoth Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, which also includes two dates at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena next year. After a day of soaring temperatures, it’s set to be a sweltering night inside the home of Liverpool FC, with Elton due to perform a huge set of hits from his extensive back catalogue.
There is no support act tonight and the Rocket Man singer is expected to take to the stage at 7pm. But fans began gathering outside the stadium this afternoon, with the doors opening at 4.30pm.
