Thor Bjornsson could make Eddie Hall wait two years for a rematch after telling his rival to have another fight before facing him again.
The Icelandic star recently dropped Hall twice en-route to unanimous decision victory in Dubai last month. Hall broke his silence by vowing to fulfil their tattoo bet providing Bjornsson agrees to an immediate second meeting.
However the Icelandic strongman believes that while the pair could open discussions regarding another fight, he plans to pursue alternative options. "I got a bit confused in your video because you said that 'I will get the tattoo if you sign the rematch clause' well you lost the fight and you are supposed to get the tattoo," Bjornsson said on his YouTube channel when responding to a video from Hall.
"If you really want that rematch then I am willing to give you it but I am not signing that contract. You get the tattoo then we can discuss any rematch. I want to obviously fight more. Is Eddie the next fight? I don't think so. I think the right way to do this is for Eddie to have some fights and for me to have some fights. If we both win our fights we can build some more hype for a future fight.
"I would love that maybe in a year or two years me and Eddie can fight again. But fighting right now again I don't think is the right choice, I think fighting in a year or two is something that can be more exciting."
Bjornsson survived an early knockdown to rally to victory which left Hall devastated and he was quick to exit the ring after the clash. Potential opponents for Bjornsson include Hall's friend Martyn Ford who will make his boxing debut next month in London against Iranian Hulk.

Ford has vowed to avenge Hall's defeat against the Icelandic star who was delighted to have finally put to bed his war of words with Hall. 'Beast' finally broke his silence after the loss in the Middle East offering a message of respect to his long-term foe.
"The commentator at some point mentions whether there's something wrong with my left arm and I can only be honest and say yes, there was," Hall said on his YouTube channel. "I f***** my biceps seven months ago and since then I haven't been able to use my left arm. I'm not making excuses, I'm just saying it is how it is.
"At the end of the day you're a phenomenon, a giant among us, you're special and you want to leave a mark and inspire your offspring. Thor, well done on the boxing match, you definitely employed better tactics. I suppose my downfall was, I saw it as a fight and I wanted a fight. I just wanted to smash you in the face and that was my downfall."
