Paris Saint-Germain could make a bid for Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante this summer with the midfielder's future at Stamford Bridge hanging in the balance.
The 30-year-old is will have just one year remaining on his deal in west London at the end of the season and the Blues will need to decide whether or not to go against their policy and offer him new terms.
It is a policy at Stamford Bridge to not offer players a pay rise or more than a one-year extension to deals once they enter their 30's, but if ever there could be an exception it may just be Kante.
However, there could also be a temptation to cash in on the Frenchman while they have the chance and PSG could offer them the chance to do just that.
Mauricio Pochettino has been "chalking off the years" until they can make a bid for the player, according to The Telegraph, and "it would not be a surprise" if they were to make a bid in the summer.
The player is currently valued at £45million on Transfermarkt and could prove key in allowing Thomas Tuchel to strengthen in the summer.
This weekend could see Kante join Cesar Azpilicueta in completing a full set of silverware from his time at Chelsea.
Since arriving in the summer of 2016, Kante has helped Chelsea to the Premier League title as well as the FA Cup, Champions League, Europa League, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup.
Liverpool stand in his way in the final of the Carabao Cup, however, so completing that set will not be an easy achievement at all.
Kante put in a fine display in midweek as the Blues secured a 2-0 win against Lille in the last-16 of the Champions League, providing the assist for Christian Pulisic's second-half strike.
