This Morning viewers lost for words as man paints Holly with world's longest tongue

This Morning viewers were lost for words after watching a man with the world's longest tongue using the muscle to paint.

The morning programme invited the American government official onto the show to paint for viewers.

Nick Stoeberl, from California, made it into the Guinness Book of World Records for having the longest tongue (male), measuring 10.1 centimetres.

Throughout the segment, hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby struggled to keep a straight face while discussing the things his long tongue has been useful for.

According to Nick, his tongue has been useful for making friends, painting, and licking food off his face and elbows.

He even painted a quick painting of Phillip and Holly while sitting on the sofa.

Nick has to wrap his tongue in cling film in order to paint, and explained his reasoning as 'safety first'.

The government official is named Lickasso and previously painted the Mona Lisa.

Viewers were shocked by the strange segment and took to social media to comment on the bizarre moment.

"That painting of Holly and Phil has me deceased," one user said while another added: "Seriously what am I watching on #ThisMorning @thismorning the longest tongue."

One viewer commented: "Ok this is getting hella weird..." while one concerned user said: "What fresh hell is this?"

One curious fan joked: "So… is the tongue dude single?"

Nick discussed how he discovered he had an unusually long tongue, telling the hosts: "I've had just sort of self-awareness and then in high school, I got the nickname, Gene Simmons."

The government official even listed some of the benefits of his tongue (ITV)

He went on to discuss his talent for painting with his tongue.

"I was happy to be able to use my Guinness World Record for something that could be productive and expressive," Nick explained.

"And so I've been able to do that and it's been really fun."

Phillip revealed Nick has sold some of his paintings for a 'couple of hundred dollars' but his Mona Lisa painting was made for his brother - who also has a long tongue.

However, there's a negative or two to having the world's longest tongue.

"One thing I’ve learnt is that I’m actually at more risk of choking on my tongue while sleeping, so that’s not good," he previously explained.
