Dermot O'Leary was forced to issue an apology on behalf of one of his co-stars during today's episode.
The presenter was joined by his co-star Alison Hammond after doing a full week's stint on the programme.
Dermot has this week been hosting the show alongside Holly Willoughby, who has been joined by a number of co-hosts since Phillip Schofield quit the popular daytime show after admitting to having an affair with a younger male colleague.
The pair reflected on how they have not worked together on the show since 2014 when Dermot filled in as a presenter.
However, on Friday Dermot was back alongside Alison for their usual end of week slot, and the pair kicked off with the daily 'This Morning's View' segment which saw them joined by show regulars Gyles Brandreth and Sonia Sodha to talk about the day's big news stories.
They discussed various current stories including the latest on former Prime Minister Boris Johnson and the Partygate report, as well as sharing the heartbreaking family tributes to the students killed in Nottingham earlier this week.
Later, they went on to talk about a bizarre story that has gone viral on social media, about a man who faked his own death to see how many people would turn up to his funeral, before then arriving at the service himself. Quick to share her views, Sonia said: "I have really strong feelings about this story.
"I think it's an awful, awful, awful narcissistic thing to do and if I was his mate, I'd be seriously p**sed off with him and would probably never talk to him again quite frankly."
Dermot then interrupted to say: "Do apologise about the language used," as Sonia, appeared surprised she'd done anything wrong as she asked: "Oh, what did I say?"
Dermot laughed and refused to repeat what Sonia had said and instead moved things along and continued commenting on the story at hand, saying: "I would be livid!" to which Sonia then added: "I'd feel really emotionally manipulated because that's what it is right? Emotional manipulation. It's making you grieve someone and then them coming back from the dead."
