In Australia, illustrious music festivals aren’t really a thing. We love getting down and dirty at a bush doof (nothing beats a boogie in the dust). Big spectacles like Coachella or those ultra luxe high-end festivals set on a beach? Not really our speed. But if travelling to attend one has always been on your bucket list, you might wanna put Your Paradise Music Festival on your radar.
Held at Avani+ Fares Maldives, this is Your Paradise’s Maldives debut. It’s previously been hosted in Fiji, but is making the jump across the globe to a new island haven. Set on the natural island of Fares on the western edge of Baa Atoll’s UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, you’ll be able to spend your days lounging by the pool, and nights dancing away to the sunset sets.
Phase one of the four-day festival lineup includes Ayybo, Arielle Free, Coco & Breezy, Double Touch, Jordan Brando & William Kiss, Low Steppa, Melé, Niiko x Swae, Sarah Story, Sasha Spielberg, Tom & Collins, and Tori Levett. Further names are set to be announced closer to the date. There’ll be a mix of feel-good house, deeper club and techno sounds for you to shake your bussy to as you dance the night away.
If you wanna take a breather in-between sets, the hotel and festival are setting up a bunch of activities to keep you preoccupied and entertained. You’ll be able to lean into the island life with watersports, diving, snorkelling, sunrise yoga and meditation. Heck, there’ll even be post-party recovery treatments at AvaniSpa.
If you’re interested in checking out the marine life, the hotel offers easy access to Hanifaru Bay, one of the world’s most celebrated manta ray hotspots.
Your Paradise runs from May 11 to 16. There are a bunch of festival packages available, whether you’re going solo, as a couple, or a group. Rates start from USD $2,599 per person (approx AUD $3,692), so while it ain’t cheap, you’re in for a real treat for the duration of the festival.
Each package includes five nights at Avani+ Fares Maldives on a half board basis, main stage performances and exclusive parties, as well as group yoga and meditation sessions.
