THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V D Satheesan said the police should probe into the revelations made by former DGP R Sreelekha in the actor assault case.
It was shocking to hear from a top cop on this and it will have to be found out whether it is true, he said. “There is also an element of suspicion on why this officer was silent on this all these years. The timing of the present revelations also should be probed to check whether it was made purposefully to weaken the case. Hence only through a thorough probe all these can be brought out,” said Satheesan.
Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran said that he was with the survivor and would remain with her. “I have heard what has happened directly from her. She is a close friend of mine and hence I stand by her in her fight for getting justice,” he said.
“It is not my opinion alone. But many people who have worked with her are also having the same opinion and stand by her,” said Prithviraj.
On the Vijay Babu incident, he said he only has information that the media has reported. He said he was not aware of what had happened in the AMMA meeting since he did not attend it.
