What makes a car a classic? Performance, design, and rarity all play a role, of course. But trying to predict which modern vehicles could achieve classic status is no easy task. Fortunately, Hagerty has been doing this for years, and this year’s Bull Market List has some interesting vehicles of note.
As with previous lists, Hagerty has selected 10 relatively affordable cars it believes could become future classics—and potentially even seven-figure auction darlings. Last year’s list, for instance, featured everything from the E90 M3 to the often-overlooked Ferrari FF, while earlier lists have included icons like the Lamborghini Diablo and the Toyota Supra Turbo.
Hagerty’s 2025 Bull Market List spans sports cars, luxury sedans, trucks, and even a hatchback. With younger buyers now entering the classic-car scene, many of these vehicles could potentially become hits with millennials and Gen Z enthusiasts—especially some of the more budget-friendly options.
Without further ado, here’s what Hagerty’s Bull Market List looks like for 2025:
- 1968–1970 Dodge Charger
- 1999–2005 Mazda MX-5 Miata
- 1956–1957 Continental Mark II
- 1990–1993 Chevrolet 454 SS
- 2006–2013 Chevrolet Corvette Z06
- 1969–1972 Alfa Romeo GTV
- 2006–2010 BMW M5
- 1981–1993 Dodge Ramcharger
- 1995–1998 Nissan Skyline GT-R
- 1995–1998 Volkswagen Golf GTI VR6
- 2004–2007 Porsche Carrera GT
Interestingly, there’s only one American muscle car on this year’s list: the 1968–1970 Dodge Charger. But it’s not the only American vehicle represented. The 1990–1993 Chevrolet 454 SS pickup also earns a spot, as does the 1981–1993 Dodge Ramcharger SUV. They may not be the first models that come to mind when you hear "American classics," but both are desirable trucks in their own right.
On the more affordable end of the list are two sporty models that millennials and Gen Z enthusiasts likely know well: the 1999–2005 Mazda MX-5 NB Miata and the 1995–1998 Volkswagen Golf GTI VR6. While both are relatively accessible performance options for the time being, Hagerty predicts that their values will start to climb in the coming years—so now may be the time to snag one.

The 2006–2010 BMW M5—better known as the "Bangle M5"—is another interesting pick, but it’s easy to see why these V-10-powered sedans may become increasingly desirable. Anything wearing a Skyline badge is also poised for appreciation—yes, even the often underrated R33. And of course, the car most likely to soar in value over the next decade is the beloved Porsche Carrera GT.
Get ‘em while you still can.
