CHENNAI: Water resources minister Duraimurugan on Monday mocked former AIADMK minister Sellur Raju in the state assembly, saying ‘thermocol’ was placed on water in the Vaigai dam to prevent evaporation. After six years of launching his ‘thermocol project’, Sellur Raju continues to be trolled.
Under the previous AIADMK regime, Sellur Raju launched a project in 2017, to prevent water evaporation in Vaigai dam by placing thermocol sheets over the water. Sellur Raju became meme material and was trolled as the ‘thermocol scientist’.
