The two wonderful moments of skill which saw club's coach score official 'try of the season'

We all know how much rugby coaches like to get involved on a match day, but this takes things to another level.

The club coach of Dalziel RFC has just picked up the Tennent's 'Try Of The Season' up in Scotland. Talk about setting the standard!

The try in question was scored in a game between Dalziel and Helensburg in Motherwell back in October last year. It has been voted the try of the season by fans, and has been posted to Twitter by Scottish Rugby.

The clip starts out with a scrum, where Dalziel steal possession from Helensburg after the ball spills out. The ball makes its way through the hands towards the left flank, where a loose, low pass seems destined to be knocked on. However, Calum Herd brilliantly collects the ball with his feet, chipping it into his hands, something which the crowd absolutely loved.

A ruck forms after Herd is tackled, and the ball is pinged out to coach Graham Calder, who is waiting in the wings for the pass. With no real options, he slots a tidy grubber past the defender, and collects well before crossing the whitewash for a quite brilliant score.

Dalziel got 53.5% of the vote on Scottish Rugby's Twitter poll, beating some fantastic efforts from Highland RFC, who got 12% of the vote, and Hamilton Bulls who notched up 34.5%. It was a pretty convincing win in the end for Graham Calder's try.

Dalziel would go on to win the game 46-14, and despite a poor start to their West League Three season, they finished strong in fifth place.
