The world's best golfers will compete in the 150th British Open this week at St Andrews. The tournament gets underway on Thursday and by Sunday we will know who the champion is.
The favourite right now is Rory McIlroy, following a strong run of form for the Northern Irishman which has seen him rise to No. 2 in the world. He is rated at 9/1 ahead of 2017 winner Jordan Spieth and Xander Shauffle, with both Americans rated at 16/1 to win the tournament.
Another American who has enjoyed good form this year is world number one Scottie Scheffler who has surprisingly long odds to win the tournament at 20/1. At that price he is alongside former world No.1 Jon Rahm and 2019 winner Shane Lowry, while 2022 US Open winner Matt Fitzpatrick is 22/1.

Southport's Tommy Fleetwood is though to be amongst the front runners as well, with odds of 28/1 while three-time open winner and double St Andrews winner Tiger Woods is 66/1.
