Jurassic World star Jeff Goldblum appeared on today's episode of The One Show to promote the latest Jurassic World film. But fans of the BBC show were surprised by the Hollywood's star energy, with some claiming he was too 'intense'.
Goldblum was joined on The One Show by Bryce Dallas Howard who both spoke to hosts Alex Jones and Ronan Keating to talk about the upcoming film Jurassic World Dominion. Goldblum and Howard will return for the latest instalment in the long-running franchise.
Jurassic World Dominion is expected to dominate box office sales. Its 2018 predecessor, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, ranked an astonishing $1.31 billion.
Jurassic World Dominion is set for release on June 10, 2022, and follows a world where dinosaurs walk among humans. The original trio of Ian Malcom, Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler reunite to face the dinos again.
During tonight's The One Show Goldblum spoke about the reunion. He said: "We all had a good time together and grew up together. We did tremendous things together, getting back was great but let's talk about them."
"We haven't been on screen in 30 years, the great Laura Dern and Sam Neill, I am going to get weepy, I adore them. The world is stricken with admiration for both of them. Two of our greatest screen artists but they are people as you well know, who are exemplary. They changed my life forever," he added.
Some viewers thought the actor seemed 'intense' during his time on the couch. @rich6013 tweeted: "I quite like Jeff Goldblum but I reckon I'd last 15 mins max in the same room as him. 'Intense' is the word."
One fan defended the 69-year-old, @Gmackematix said: "I love that Jeff is always this enthusiastic in interviews and people are confusing it for drunkenness. #TheOneShow."
Jurassic Park was originally a book written by sci-fi writer Michael Crichton, who tried to imagine what it would be like if dinosaurs and humans lived together. Steven Spielberg picked the plot and made one of the most iconic films in cinematic history.
