Would the Washington Commanders and Atlanta Falcons replace their current young quarterbacks in the 2024 NFL Draft?
In our latest NFL mock draft from Christian D’Andrea, he had Washington taking edge rusher Jared Verse from Florida State and Atlanta grabbing another edge, Chop Robinson out of Penn State.
But in the latest mock from The 33rd Team, Connor Livesay has the Commanders taking Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels and the Falcons going with Michael Penix Jr. from Washington at No. 10. Given what we’ve seen in recent weeks from Sam Howell and Desmond Ridder, it makes sense.
Here’s the take on Penix Jr.:
After the Atlanta Falcons dropped one of the most disappointing games of the season, the talk of them drafting a quarterback continues to get louder and louder. Michael Penix Jr.’s draft stock has bounced around quite a bit this year, but with so many quarterback-needy teams, it’s hard to imagine he won’t be drafted somewhere in the top 15.
