The internet's favorite yoga instructor announces a seven-day challenge and it's the perfect way to start the New Year

Woman sits cross legged on white rug in front of a couch. A laptop is open in front of her.

Looking for a way to start 2025 on a positive note? Lucky for you, Adriene Mishler, who's behind the Yoga With Adriene yoga YouTube channel, has announced a seven-day yoga journey to begin the new year.

In the past, Mishler has launched 30-day yoga challenges in January, but this year it's just seven days long, so it's very achievable.

Mishler's yoga practices are also always beginner-friendly, so her seven-day challenge is a great option if your New Year's resolution is to improve your physical and mental health.

How to take part in Yoga With Adriene's 2025 yoga challenge

Mishler will be posting a new yoga practice to her channel every day for seven days from January 1, so make sure to visit her YouTube channel every day.

The idea is that you'll complete each practice on the day it's uploaded. However, if you wanted to start the program a little bit later, you can do that, because the videos will stay live on Mishler's YouTube channel.

What is prana?

Mishler's seven-day program is titled "Prana - A 7 Day Yoga Journey". Prana is a term that comes from the ancient practice of yoga. "Prana is how the ancient Yogi sages referred to a subtle 'energy' that connects the body, mind and spirit," says Laura Pearce, yoga instructor and founder of Kin Yoga Mats and Yoga Collective London.

It's often associated with a type of breathwork and Pearce explains that traditionally, "prana is regarded as the bridge between the physical body and the subtle body. It is the fuel that powers your thoughts, emotions and actions."

This might sound perplexing at first, but Mishler's yoga practices are always down-to-earth and accessible so expect Mishler to deepen your understanding over the seven days.

More challenges from Yoga With Adriene

Mishler has published plenty of 30-day yoga challenges. Here is a small selection, in case you'd like to commit to something longer than seven days.
