The freedom Hinduism offers us to interpret stories can be a glowing beacon for other faiths: Vineet Bajpai at the launch of his new book 'Delhi: City of the Blood Gates'

Writing historical or mythological fiction is a daunting task-- not just in terms of research but also because of the responsibility that comes with interpreting history and myths which can be sensitive subjects. However, if the topic is dealt with utmost respect then that comes across in one's writing, believes popular author Kevin Missal.

Kevin said, "At the end of the day when I look at it from a writer's perspective, I don't think that I have to disrespect what I write. Sometimes what happens is that we get a bit too casual with what we are writing. As a writer, while no one is checking upon you, your words are very powerful. You have to be very careful with what you say and what you write. My only thing is that whatever I am writing, I respect it-- it's as simple as that."
