Princess Anne stopped a kidnapping plot by saying three words to the gunman during the dramatic ordeal outside Buckingham Palace.

In 1974 Princess Anne was the subject of a kidnapping attempt which she managed to foil just in time.
The Princess Royal and her then husband Captain Mark Phillips were making their way back to Buckingham Palace.
This royal news comes as Kate Middleton gave a cheeky response when one of her friends told her she was lucky to have Prince William.
