A newly built housing development in Greater Manchester has been recognised in the regional property awards. Holcombe View, a brand new development of 14 properties in the Bury borough, was awarded ‘Boutique Housing Development of the Year’ at Insider’s North West Residential Property Awards.
Housing developer Cube Homes beat competition across the region to gain the prestigious title for the large family homes on New Road in Whitefield. Judges said that Holcombe View provided ‘a great fit with its surroundings’ and that the ‘characterful' development is something a 'little different'.
Nestled within semi-rural surroundings, the four and five bedroom detached properties feature floor-to-ceiling windows and vaulted ceilings and were positioned to take advantage of the views of Holcombe Hill.

Since hitting the market in 2021, Holcombe View was one of Cube Homes' fastest selling developments with 10 of the 14 properties sold within the first 10 days of release.
Just a stone's throw away from the town of Whitefield, which in recent years has become one of Greater Manchester's most sought-after places to live, the family homes were priced between £370,000 and £480,000.
Among the development are four house types, Dalton, Henley, Richmond and Devonshire, which include 13 four-bed detached houses and one five-bed detached house.
Each of the properties benefit from enclosed gardens, many with elevated views over the surrounding area and the hills beyond, and also come with an integral garage and driveway for additional parking.
The North West Residential Property Awards was hosted by TV presenter Matt Baker and took place at Manchester Central with around 860 people from property industry in attendance.
Christopher Heath, managing director of Manchester-based Cube Homes, said: “It’s a real honour to win this award especially as the competition was really tough – all of the finalists in this category were amazing.
“We are so proud of Holcombe View, it was one of our fastest selling developments - we sold 10 of the properties within the first 10 days of release.
"Many people still think of new build developments as rows of cookie cutter houses but we always try to offer genuinely different homes which have the proportions and individuality of traditional properties but with the added benefit of energy efficient heating and the latest contemporary kitchens and bathrooms," Christopher added.
“We are passionate about the locations we chose to build in and always try to choose inspiring places, with lots of access to green space and fantastic local amenities.”
