Heading to the supermarket for the weekly shop is something that many people dread. However, some days, a venture to the shops may get you a little more than you bargained for.
Some days of the week will give the first choice of some big offers that could save you a few Euro.
As the cost of living crisis continues now more than ever, people are looking to cut corners and what better way to do so than changing the day of the week you usually do your weekly shop?

Aldi
For those who head to Aldi each week to pick up their essentials, why not try making the trip on Sunday, September 4th, as this is when the special buys will be on sale?
These will include massive savings on items such as welly boots, leggings, slippers, storage drawers, hoodies, socks, pyjamas, t-shirts, loungewear and candles.
Also available are boxers, Mr Muscle Drain Gel, sponges and comfy.
Aldi said it marks down perishable products such as bread, meat and fruit and vegetables by 75% on their last day of life before stores close.
The times that items are reduced vary by store and are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
That means you'll need to keep an eye out for red stickers next time you're roaming the aisles at Aldi.
However, if you are looking to avoid crowds, Wednesday is the day you should go shopping to find the least amount of people in stores in most spots around Ireland.
Saturday and Sunday are the busiest days in most shops, although Monday and Tuesday evenings in some are just as hectic.
Lidl
Lidl usually reduces products in stores near the use-by date to about 30% of the original price, bloggers from Student Hacks have previously revealed.
Usually, Lidl releases their Middle aisle items every Thursday and Sunday.
Lidl's middle aisle offers can include a wide variety of items, from power tools to fresh flowers.
From today Lidl will be offering back-to-school lunchtime offers, tool items, organised office stationery, cleaning supplies, kitchen gadgets, bedding and lighting and plants and flowers.
If you want to avoid the crowds, you'll generally have the aisles to yourself between 9pm and 10pm at Lidl.
But this can vary day-to-day and between stores.
Saturday seems to be the busiest day in many Lidl stores.
However, Tuesday and Wednesday have become busier days, while Monday is the quietest.
