The Apprentice star Amy Anzel works up a sweat as she shows off her weight loss during outdoor yoga session

The Apprentice star Amy Anzel made the most of the sunshine near Salford Quays as she was spotted working up a sweat. The beauty brand boss put herself through her paces during an outdoor solo yoga session.

The 49-year-old entrepreneur looked sensational as she exercised in a pink sports bra teamed with berry-coloured workout leggings. Amy showed off her toned midriff as she ran through a variety of moves, keeping up her hydration with a bottle of water to hand.

She told back in March how she had lost five stone ahead of appearing in the long-running BBC business competition. She decided to lose weight after being diagnosed with two health conditions after the birth of her son Jacob, who is now five.

And she says she 'barely recognised herself' after shedding the weight. "I’ve had so many messages since sharing my weight loss story, so I thought I’d post a bit more info on how I gained and lost 70lbs," she said on her Instagram. with side-by-side before and after photos.

"Looking at these photos side by side, I barely even recognise myself in the before photo and am so proud of how far I’ve come!" She explained: "After giving birth of Jacob, I was diagnosed with two conditions, Hypothyroidism, a condition where your thyroid doesn't produce enough hormones - and a thyroid related autoimmune disease called Hashimoto's Thyroiditis - where the immune system makes antibodies that attack the thyroid and therefore it becomes under active and causes weight gain."

With the right medication, monitoring by doctors, a diet plan and an exercise regime tailored to her conditions she was able to lose weight she'd gained during and after pregnancy and is now back at 10 stone.

"It was HARD and some days it felt like I’d never get to where I wanted to be. But in 4/5 months I managed to achieve my goal!" she said. I started weight training several times a week, and rain or shine I ALWAYS made sure to do 10,000 steps per day, no excuses.

"I completely overhauled my diet and made many lifestyle changes along the way. There isn’t a blanket rule that works for absolutely everybody, and with my conditions it made it much more of a difficult process."

New Yorker Amy, who runs Hollywood Browzer Beauty, a beauty tools brand that specialises in dermaplaning, hair removal and exfoliation tools, was 'fired' by Lord Alan Sugar in the sixth week of the long-running BBC business contest earlier this year. She is now aiming for her business to become as big as Coca-Cola after singing in an ad for the brand as a child.

The mother-of-one told us previously: "After The Apprentice I have bigger dreams. I want Hollywood Browzer to be like Coca-Cola in the beauty world." Reflecting on her time after being fired from the contest, which saw 16 candidates battle it out to win £250,000-worth of investment, she said: "I have just made lemonade out of lemons. So many people have approached me in the street and said 'we so wanted you to win' and I'm so grateful for their support. Since the show I've been scaling up my business."

Amy appeared in the gripping finale on runner-up Kathryn Burn's team for her online pyjama business, creating and starring in a heart-warming ad for her brand. Amy was pleased to see Harpreet and Kathryn in the final after becoming close friends with both ladies duing the process.

Amy, who lives in London, is a regular visitor to Manchester. Her celeb pals in the city include Coronation Street stars Katie McGlynn, Lisa George and Victoria Ekanoye and model Rhian Sugden.
