The Queen would meet 15 prime ministers during her long reign - from Winston Churchill to Liz Truss.
From 1952, she would formally appoint 11 Conservative and four Labour heads of government. Throughout her 70 years on the throne she held weekly meetings with the leaders - either at Buckingham Palace or at Balmoral Castle.
The Queen met Liz Truss on Tuesday at Balmoral when she was officially asked to become Prime Minister.
