The cheapest homes bought across Greater Manchester in the last few months have been revealed. Ten properties sold between April and June this year for bargain amounts ranging from £40,000 to £50,000.
Three of the homes were sold in Wigan, which is the region's most affordable borough to buy a home with an average house price of £167,662 . The borough is home to some of the cheapest areas such as Ince, Pemberton and Platt Bridge where house prices are extremely low.
The boroughs of Oldham and Rochdale also had sales for less than £50,000, with three of the cheapest homes selling in Middleton. Some bargain homes also sold in boroughs that are typically known to be more expensive such as Salford, Stockport and Manchester.
