Thai Vietjet recently announced a new international service between Chiang Mai International Airport and Kansai International Airport in Osaka, starting from Jan 31.
To celebrate the upcoming service, Thai Vietjet is offering special fares starting from 4,422 baht (inclusive of taxes and fees). The promotional fares are available for booking from now until Dec 15 with the travel period from Jan 31 to Oct 27, 2023 (not inclusive of public holidays, with terms and conditions applied).
In the beginning, the new international service from Chiang Mai to Osaka will operate three flights per week every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, with a flight duration of approximately five hours.
Passengers can book Thai Vietjet air tickets for both domestic and international services at special rates from vietjetair.com, the Vietjet Air mobile app, Facebook.com/VietJetThailand and the airline's global ticket agencies.

Melia Chiang Mai gets new rooftop bar
Meliá Chiang Mai recently launched a 360-degree rooftop bar offering awe-inspiring views of the Ping River to the city's east and famed Doi Suthep Temple on a mountaintop to the west.
The highest bar in Chiang Mai, aptly named Mai The Sky Bar, is perched on the 22nd floor of Meliá Chiang Mai. It serves an array of authentic Spanish tapas and pinchos including Galician-style octopus with smoked paprika, fried creamy house-made ham croquettes, smoked salmon on crusty baguette slices, and skewers with pickled pepper, anchovies and green olives. Fluffy fried fish cake with cucumber and mint salsa, grilled prawns with smokey green chilli relish and grilled pineapple, and desserts such as a seasonal fruit platter with Thai-style spicy-salty sugar, wild honey and lime are among menu items.
Thai and international DJs spin Spanish and Latin music from 8pm, Thursday to Sunday.

Standard Hua Hin celebrates its first anniversary
The Standard Hua Hin celebrated its first anniversary with an upbeat birthday party at The Lido Bar, filled with fabulous food, sparkling drinks and inspiring entertainment.
On Dec 1, one year since the resort opened its doors and started to redefine hospitality in Hua Hin, the seafront retreat invited guests, local residents, executives and VIPs -- including Thailand's leading trend-setters and taste-makers -- to mark this important milestone. AirAsia set to launch Cambodian chapter
AirAsia recently signed an agreement with Sivilai Asia to establish AirAsia Cambodia, a new low-cost airline in the "Kingdom of Wonder".
The new airline will further cement AirAsia's brand in Cambodia and Indochina, providing AirAsia with greater access to its domestic market and most importantly connecting it to the international markets across Asean, North Asia and beyond. This new airline operate in the various existing markets where it already has a presence and operations to build scale, network connectivity and further reduce the cost of operations. AirAsia Cambodia aims to further stimulate the Cambodian aviation and tourism industries, launch exciting new destinations, create jobs and bring a true low-cost operation to the country.
Subject to obtaining the relevant regulatory approvals, AirAsia Cambodia is expected to commence operations late next year.
