Teyana Taylor brought high-concept couture to the sixth annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on October 17, 2026, wearing a striking look from Schiaparelli's Fall/Winter 2026–2027 Haute Couture collection. Designed by creative director Daniel Roseberry and identified as Look 28, the ensemble showcased the house's distinctive approach to sculptural fashion, combining an anatomically inspired bodice with an intricately embroidered floor-length skirt.
The look's most arresting feature was its pale-blue glazed silicone bustier, molded into the shape of an anatomical torso. Rather than following the conventional structure of an evening bodice, the piece transformed the upper half of the outfit into a sculptural statement. Its unusual material and dimensional form reflected Schiaparelli's long-standing fascination with surrealism, the human body and fashion as wearable art.
