Met Éireann is predicting a glorious upturn in fortunes on the weather front over the next few days with temperatures to climb to 18C in places.
After a wet and windy week that resulted in numerous weather warnings, the weather looks set to turn and stay dry for most of next week with warm spells for many.
Although there will be patchy rain around on Saturday and Sunday, Met Éireann's general outlook says it is "becoming drier and milder as high pressure is set to dominate our weather."

They add: "Dry this morning [Saturday] with sunny spells in the east, cloudier in the west and this will extend across the country with outbreaks of rain and drizzle developing across Atlantic coastal counties through the middle of the day. Patchy rain will gradually spread further east during the afternoon, remaining most persistent in the north and northwest but it will stay mainly dry across south Leinster and east Munster. Highest temperatures of 8 to 13 degrees, coolest in the west in light to moderate southerly breezes."
Rain and drizzle will arrive overnight and early on Sunday morning before the day brightens up with sunny spells developing for many areas.
Sunday will be "much milder than recent days with highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees in light to moderate southerly breezes," according to Met Éireann.
"A mix of cloud and some clear spells [on Sunday night], and just some spots of light rain and drizzle. Staying mild overnight too with lowest temperatures of 8 to 10 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds. Some mist and fog patches may also develop in the south as winds fall light."
Forecasters predict a "good deal of cloud" on Monday morning with patchy outbreaks of rain and drizzle.
"The rain and drizzle will die away through the afternoon as sunny spells develop. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees in mostly moderate southerly breezes.
"Dry overnight with long clear spells. A little cooler overnight than previously with lowest temperatures of 4 to 7 degrees in light winds."
Things look to settle even more on Tuesday for a "a mostly dry and sunny day with just a little cloud at times. Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees generally, cooler near southern and eastern coasts due to an onshore breeze.
"Staying dry overnight with long clear spells and just light winds. Cool overnight with temperatures falling to 3 to 6 degrees,
"A mostly dry start [on Wednesday] with some good sunny spells too. Cloud will build later however with a few showers for eastern areas in a freshening easterly breeze. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees."
