Telangana's new secretariat building to be named after BR Ambedkar

HYDERABAD: Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who has been demanding the Centre to name the new Parliament building after BR Ambedkar, has decided to name state's new secretariat after him.

The Telangana assembly on Tuesday unanimously resolved to urge the Centre to name the newly constructed Parliament building after Ambedkar and sent the resolution copy to the Centre. Many Dalit organisations and leaders have been demanding the BJP government to name the building after the architect of the Indian Constitution.
