Teenager replaces Ronaldo in Manchester United squad as Jaap Stam sends message to Erik ten Hag

Charlie Savage included in Manchester United squad vs Crystal Palace but no Cristiano Ronaldo

Charlie Savage and Shola Shoretire have been included in the Manchester United squad for their final game of the season at Crystal Palace. Savage, 19, made his debut as a late substitute in Ralf Rangnick's second match in charge against Young Boys in the Champions League group stage in December.

Shoretire, 18, debuted for United last season against Newcastle and has appeared four times for the first-team as a substitute. Nineteen-year-old left-back Alvaro Fernandez, an unused substitute in the last three games, is in contention to make his debut.

Shoretire nor Savage have been named in a Premier League matchday squad this season and Rangnick suggested on Friday high-profile names would be unavailable for United at Selhurst Park. Cristiano Ronaldo is understood to be out through injury.
