Charlie Savage included in Manchester United squad vs Crystal Palace but no Cristiano Ronaldo
Charlie Savage and Shola Shoretire have been included in the Manchester United squad for their final game of the season at Crystal Palace. Savage, 19, made his debut as a late substitute in Ralf Rangnick's second match in charge against Young Boys in the Champions League group stage in December.
Shoretire, 18, debuted for United last season against Newcastle and has appeared four times for the first-team as a substitute. Nineteen-year-old left-back Alvaro Fernandez, an unused substitute in the last three games, is in contention to make his debut.
Shoretire nor Savage have been named in a Premier League matchday squad this season and Rangnick suggested on Friday high-profile names would be unavailable for United at Selhurst Park. Cristiano Ronaldo is understood to be out through injury.
Jaap Stam has shown Erik ten Hag what he could bring to Manchester United

He's Dutch. He's bald and he might be the answer to United's problems. No, not incoming manager Erik ten Hag but fan favourite Jaap Stam.
are looking to sign a new centre-back in the summer transfer window and they have the ideal blueprint for success in the shape of their former stopper.
Signing a defender in the same no-nonsense mould as Stam would greatly enhance their backline this summer, but just as important could be bringing the Treble-winning centre-back back to the club in an official coaching capacity to share his knowledge with a defence which has been shambolic all season.
