His latest move took place on Monday, with Cruz claiming that vice-president Kamala Harris is "actively encouraging" illegal immigration with help from the Mexican government.
The comment was made on the senator's podcast "Verdict" and was prompted by recent news that the Mexican Government will offer escorted bus rides from southern Mexico to the U.S. border for non-Mexican migrants. The plan, put forward by the National Institute of Migration (INM), would provide rides from the southern cities of Villahermosa and Tapachula but only to migrants with with CBP One appointments.
